Schedule: Four days on and four days off rotating shift that includes days, evenings, weekends and holidays, based on a 12-hour workday.

The Flight Department Operations Coordinator (FDOC) is a centralized, joint function between the Flight Department and Operations Control designed to streamline communication and operational support for flight crews. It serves as the primary point of contact for pilots, triaging incoming requests and directing them to the appropriate resources while ensuring timely resolution of operational issues. Its core purpose is to enhance daily flight operations through three key pillars: providing support, offering expert guidance, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
In this role you will:
• Act as the primary point of contact for pilot inquiries within the Operations Control Centre
• Provide operational support, guidance, and decision-making for daily flight operations
• Triage and direct pilot requests to the appropriate departments or personnel
• Assist crews with flight planning, weather interpretation, NOTAMs, MELs, and operational decision-making
• Maintain oversight of crew scheduling, workload distribution, and operational efficiency
• Coordinate with Duty Managers, Operations Leads, and other teams to resolve operational issues
• Produce daily and ad hoc operational reports and metrics for Flight Operations leadership
• Support irregular operations (IROPS) and develop solutions across departments
• Oversee and delegate tasks within the Pilot Desk environment
• Provide guidance on complex trip planning, safety practices, and operational efficiency
• Collaborate with Flight Department Management for escalation and higher-level decision-making
• Maintain awareness of overall operational status and proactively identify potential issues
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Pilot experience in CAR 700 series multiengine IFR operations, or 2 years experience in operations control Center of a 703/704/705 operation, with experience in flight planning, operating regulations, and aviation weather/NOTAMs.
• Knowledge of Transport Canada Regulations and Standards.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand aviation weather reports and NOTAMs.
