Kind of weird to ask this question in this way.

I assume that if you want to use a freelance instructor then you have access to an aircraft and an instructor? If that's the case, (which it isn't for most) then I would say it's a good option.

Going with a flight school gives you a bit more flexibility in some ways and less in others. If you are using a freelance instructor you only have one plane and one instructor, so if they aren't available, you might miss out on some time. Flight schools will often have other options for you in planes go offline. On the other hand, you compete with other students for bookings.

Flight schools can be more organized and have lots of support. Probably a bit more expensive than doing it on your own just in basic operating costs.

Freelance option can be cheaper in the short term but you will have to be organized and self motivated.

Good luck.

1. Flying school that hires it's flight instructor candidates
2. Freelance instructor
3. Flying school that doesn't hire its own instructors.
