Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

Salary: $22.00 per hour

Northwestern Air Lease is looking for Apprentice AMEs eager to start their career in Aviation. Our current fleet of Cessna 206s and Cessna 210 will be a great baseline to gain experience in both mechanical and technical operations. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week.

Responsibilities:
-Under the direction of a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, perform inspections and assist with dismantling, assembly, repair and/or overhaul of aircraft systems and components on Company aircraft.
-Develop an understanding of aircraft defect troubleshooting and the methods used to carry out corrective action.
-Maintain Company aircraft in an airworthy condition by carrying out assigned maintenance tasks using approved maintenance data and procedures.
-Identify and report defects or other issues that may affect the serviceability or operational status of aircraft.
-Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Company policies, standard practices, and applicable Transport Canada regulations.
-Perform duties in accordance with our established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, the safety of co-workers and customers.
-Perform other related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:
-Graduate of an accredited Transport Canada–approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) program with Transport Canada accreditation.
-Experience in working with Cessna 206 & Cessna 210 aircrafts is considered an asset
-Comfortable with Online Technical Publications, AMS or electronic document management systems
-Valid Canadian-issued driver’s license with no restrictions or conditions.
-Ability to obtain and maintain an Airport Vehicle Operator’s Permit (AVOP).
-Legal working authority in Canada.
-English language fluency or working knowledge.
