I got reported to the chief pilot once for marshalling a colleague's plane during start up because all ground crew were busy.... At a 704 operation

Was grieved 3 times working air canada connector. throwing bags, starting gpu's to warm them up, bringing bag cart to back. funny thing is it wasn't any of the crews we worked with, always some numpty driving by who had nothing to do with us.

Splattered all over social media. It's getting the attention the pilot wanted. Don't like me loading bags? Fine, then send over more rampies. It's a bad look on Delta, and the DAL MEC can spin it as "look what our pilots do for our pax"

I've helped a solo rampie load bags on the 737 a couple times, I carry strollers down and back up, push wheel chair passengers up or down the ramp, whatever needs doing. You can't sit on your ass all day for a living and then turn around and complain it's too hard not to get fat. I pitch in when needed and don't ask for recognition. The kicker is, if you throw your back out doing someone else's job, you're in for a bad time with WCB, and the STD/LTD people.

I used to do this at EVAS all the time out east.
