commuting from yvr

Post by danno »

I understand there was a base in yvr at one time and was wondering if there were commuting pilots from yvr and if anyone had some insight on that. Does the company work with you on commuting? Is yvr a satelite base ? or anything else that might help me think its possible. Thanks.

no but I havnt heard anything from Transat either. I don't think they look at pilots from out west unless they have to. They probably have enough to draw from out east.

It’s exactly the same as with Morningstar. Anything is commutable, it simply depends on what you’re willing to tolerate. It’s a seniority based airline. There is no special schedule for commuters. From what I have seen they don’t even have a commuting policy. I may be wrong but I can’t find that section. Westjet posted an opening recently, the YVR base is the most Jr so you could have 0 commute.

What does that have to do with any of the questions OP just asked?

Have you looked up his posts? He keeps asking if companies are commuter friendly from YVR. First Morningstar now Transat. If he wants a commuter job, there it is!
