Lab Air has laid off 5 or more on the Dash in YYT from what I heard. They did lay off on the 1900 but don't know how many. Parked 1 Dash 8

PAL is going to be hiring this spring for the Dash and King air Offshore. Rumor has it that they will be expanding again this spring on sked service

Here is what I have heard through the grape vine.

AL has a Dash 8 down for a heavy check, it is going back online in April and crews will be recalled. The Scheduled flight (X2 daily) to Northern Quebec has been pulled due to poor performance, crews have been laid off and the Beech 190 is being leased to Georgian.

Contact chief pilot from either company, both are good guys to talk too. Or HR departments.

As I said before PAL will be hiring soon. And i guess Lab Air will be to because most of their guys are trying to leave or get on with PAL.

Whats crazy about this is that they hire a guy from PAL, (to try and piss them off) give him a training captain job and a check A course then call him management to bypass the union. there is a lot of us that would have liked to do that job. Now we are taking layoffs and being put back in the right seat. Nothing against this guy but it shows what they think of their own pilots.
