Platinum Jet Air
Does anyone know when the F100's will be operational? Heard they purchased a local Saab operator last week.

Thier F100 is in pieces on the Ramp in YYC...their investors (Hong Kong businessmen) didnt meet the local investment requirement for their operating certificate or somthing like that.
They were looking at a local charter company to operate their Calgary-Toronto under the Platinum name but that fell through...

Geez, I sure hope not. I wouldn't wish that misery on anyone.it's true. Layoffs happening at corpac now.
What gives though, I thought Gord sold out (or part of ) the operation to some folks with dough. Did these guys turn around and sell again? (i.e. the quick flip?)
STW
P.S. Rumours are not that flattering about the guy behind platinum jet. Just sayin'

Airsprint has outright purchased the P.180's and has also moved ahead with a order for Citiation CJ3's.These aircraft will complement the exsisting fleet of PC-12's and Citiation excel's.This company is growing like crazy and dont be surprised to see Challenger 300's or even Citation Soveriegns with this company sooner than later as I am sure Long haul lift will be required in time...

Okay, here it is:
Avia Aviation (owner DW) owned 3 piaggio's (more or less at times)
Corpac (Corporate Express) owned 1 saab and 2 jetstreams
Avia (DW) then bought out Corpac and the new Coporate Express had 3 piaggios, 2 saabs and 2 jetstreams. (yes Avai bought corpac not the other way around), and 1 new hanger.
Now Avia (DW) has taken the 3 piaggio's to airsprint, and his orders for CJ3's. DW also sold the remaining company (1 saabs and 2 jetstreams) to Plat Jet. The second saab is for sale or something like that.
Hanger- dont know yet. DW may own it and rent out space or sell it. Shell has first rights on purchase.

Landmark does not have first right of refusal for Hangar purchase.
Avia did not buy Corpac
Corpac operated the P-180's
Avia decided that the Airsprint was a better fit with there image and then sold to Airsprint.
Corpac has 2 Saabs' and 2 Jetstreams. with a rotating lease of a J31 to Integra Air.
JP if you are going to be the voice of information, make sure that you get your facts straight first.

Okay, You may be right on a few things. Do you work for DW?
I was at the meeting when DW was building the hanger, my understanding was that there are alot of restrictions on the hanger, no fbo, and that Landmark has these restrictions in place.
I also flow DW around in the piaggio and I am pretty sure he bought Corpac or was the major share holder.
Just talked to a Corpac manager yesterday and he said the 2nd saab is up for sale, Copac is NOT operating it any longer. Yes, they do lease out the jetstream.
My facts are from working there for a year and a half (Avia and a few months with corpac) and my understanding of it. I may be wrong on some of them but think I got the just of it.
I wish all the best to the guys I worked with. One of them is leaving aviation all together, but he has a new exciting career ahead. Others have gone to other companies and one with the piaggio's to air sprint.
