well, first off i have not worked there ( yet) but know a few folks who do, and also at Pronto.. anyhoo... when i did one of my Xcountry job quests, Wayne (the CP) was awesome. One of the only guys who took the time to talk to me and explain what they were all about. A real gentleman.
The guys i know love it there. One stayed for 6 years, and said his planes were top notch, maintenance was great and pay was also at par (i am taking a stab here, but start at high 30 ish FO on ATR and up to 60 ish for Capt??)* in any case, reasonable money can actually buy you a nice house in SK, unlike the crap ass trailer you might get in AB or the crack house in SWO. A nice steady schedule, and overall good working conditions, benefits, too.
Good luck, fly safe!!
* someone feel free to correct me...

Waterwings, your info sounds quite accurate. Wayne certainly deserves a lot of credit for always taking time out for low timers (and other applicants), and he has given many people their start in aviation.

I talked to Wayne a while back about working out there. He seemed a very nice guy on the phone. Straight and to the point. I like that. I couldn't afford to go, but from all reports, it's a class op.

What is your ultimate goal? Staying at any of these places for ever isn't a bad thing.
Bear? you like NWO? got 10g? prepared to stay FO for a while? 6/10
Calmair? make sure you know what you're getting into, a lot can't handle Thompson MB. 6/10
Westwind? hmmm.... 8.5/10
Sunwest? can you afford to live inYYC? 8/10 in AB dollars, 7/10 for the rest of us.

From what water wings says it sounds like their salary has come a Looooong way in a few years.

When I was at cowboy air, the Westwind jetstream captains were making 36K!

18k for the C-401 bag run captain. :supz: Or maybe it's 20k now, not sure. Either way, KD will be the main source of nutrition for the first year or 2.

As a low timer, any one know the progression through the company, also once your at a base do you stay there, or do you have to flip flop between the two as you move up the ranks?

any help would be great
