It may just be my mood today but I’d give it a go! Its got 2 more engines the any other aircraft I have ever flown. I’d bet it would be a lot of fun once you get the hang of it. They just need to do something about the 2 stroke engines, the exhaust smell (30:1 mixture) and fuel consumption would benefit from just 2 little 4-strokes.

2-stroke's power to weight is hard to beat and it's probably better to lose 25% of torque vs 50%. You're gonna go down either way as I don't think there's a lot of power reserve, but it won't hurt as much with 75% still left. The thing probably doesn't autorotate too well as I didn't see a collective control.

I think I'd try it as well, at less than 50' and over water.

Now if you had a small APU or blow cart engine on it...hmmm...could you log turbine chopper time? :)

I don't know about that, I would agree with you Big Pratt, I would only get on it low level over water. (and close to shore)

Probably no matter what you put on it, you cannot log the time towards anything. :(

Open cockpit, relative airflow, and a skirt. Does anyone else have concerns besides the obvious safety ones?

The average pilot, despite the somewhat swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy and caring.
These feelings just don't involve anyone else.
