Just throwing this out there cause i havent said anything in a while.
What companies are in the process of hiring. (A.M.E.'s ) Im talkin all over Canada and overseas. If anyone knows add to the post, im sure it will help out quite a bit of people i know! If possible write what kinda aircraft they operate and what city they are hiring for and if they are a good company to work for i.e. past experience or heresay. Hell it might help me out as well .
if you're looking for AME work, you shouldn't have much trouble finding a job. I was looking for a summer job a couple weeks ago and it only took two emailed resumes and 24 hours to have two job offers and one wasn't even in my area of experiance. It seems that there are lots of jobs out there. Last winter I recieved 4 unsolicited AME job offers and I don't even have that much experiance

You don't need experience Tiny. It appears all you need is a licence and a pulse, and you're in!!

My comment was not directed at you Tiny. Just trying to convey the general desperation of employers. Sorry for any misunderstanding.
VIH gave me an offer and all my experiance is on fixed wing; a wide variety from c172 up to DHC8. The guy I talked to said it wasn't really a problem at all. I didn't take the job as I had already found work elsewhere when they called.
About the rotary wing thing.... I have about ten years experience in fixed wing, and i just moved over to rotary wing side of things. The DOM is smart enough to know that it is still the same industry, and now, myself, after haveing worked on both, can say that it is no different than working on a different type of aircraft you have never worked on before, you just have to learn it. Unfortunately, the guys on the floor, most of them with less time in the industry than me, seem to think that rotary wing stuff is some kind of special thing that is more important and requires more skill than fixed wing, all the while not haveing a clue how much more experience fixed wing guys get...eg avionics, autopilot, FDR, TCAS, etc. There are just more systems in twin turboprob/piston, that you don't see in A-stars and Jetrangers. This is how i have seen it anyhow, but I think right now, the rotary side is so hurting for guys, it shouldn't be a problem to get job, kinda fun to work on too, and it opens more doors. Hope this helped, good luck.
wow i guess people dont understand what i wrote, well not everyone. Only 2 companies that are hiring. Wow thought there would be more than that. If there is anyone else who knows about Companies hireing please add to the post. Thanks
Well i always look a the posting on here, just wondering about jobs that only current employees might know about. And how can ya look at the gvmt job bank, ive never looked there before.
