Doesnt matter, cause either team will lose to Buffalo.
The important thing this year is that it looks like Detroit will finally be able to get some revenge on the Flames. I hope it will be a quick series

Detroit is just lucky they play 8 games each against St. Louis, Columbus, and Chicago. Being in the easiest division in the league makes it easy to finish tops. Detroit isn't going anywhere. And Buffalo doesn't have the grit to go the distance in the playoffs. And it doesn't matter who gets eigth spot in the east. They all suck.

I was once told that you're only allowed 10 hates in the world. Child abuse, poverty, famine, etc. Without hesitation, I'll waste one of my hates on the Toronto Maple Leafs. I pray to all things holy that the Habs rake 'em, bag 'em, and burn 'em. I want to see a "Darcy Tucker hat-trick" tonight. That's when he gets beaten up in a fight, provides a give-away that leads to a Habs goal, and gets 2 minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct. Now that I think of it, I'll use entirely different hate on him.

Well shit. Go Islanders go, all is not lost,
I am happy with two things in a hockey season.
1, Montreal makes the playoffs
2, Toronto doesn't
I really hope that this season isn't all dissapointment
Anybody watch the hotstove? I cant believe how biased the CBC is
makes me sick

I was in Montreal and watched the local channel RDS in my hotel room (just for kicks). They were just as biased, so it goes both ways. My condolences to the habs fans, if a Canadian team can't win the cup, then go Pittsburgh!still_bluenoser wrote:Well shit. Go Islanders go, all is not lost,

But RDS is a LOCAL channel. CBC is a NATIONAL channel.corporate joe wrote:I was in Montreal and watched the local channel RDS in my hotel room (just for kicks). They were just as biased, so it goes both ways.
Go Islanders. I'd like to see some games other than Toronto on the CBC this spring. Then again - there would only be four games if they got in - Leafs aren't going anywhere.

if a canadian team can't win the cup... = hopefully all canadian teams win their series (including the one against pittsburgh).flyinphil wrote:corporate joe wrote:um, they have to beat a Canadian team in the first round.if a Canadian team can't win the cup, then go Pittsburgh!
...then go pittsburgh = if it so happens that Canadian teams do not win their series and there are none left whilst pittsburgh is still alive, then hopefully pittsburgh wins the cup.

Another correct prediction. Damn I'm good.shimmydampner wrote:Islanders won today. So, I'm thinking the Leafs will win tonight and the Leafs fans will be on cloud nine, only for the Islanders to win tomorrow and make the perpetual Leafs disappointment that much more bitter. At least I hope so, Ryan Smyth deserves it.
I'm coming out of retirement to help the Leafs next season...
