Looking to acquire a copy of Moshansky report into Dryden
Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone knows how to get a hold of a copy of the final report into the Air Ontario Dryden crash. My local library has it, but you cannot check it out. I dont really want to spend hours at the library since it's quite lengthy.
I appreciate the help
Thanks

Matrix, I have a complete copy of it. I'm not about to loan it and photocopying it would cost your next years salary so you may be forced to spend some time at the library. Is there any particular info you are looking for or just wanting to read the whole thing?

Actually, I believe that organization hasn't existed at the federal level for quite some time due to privatization and contracting out of services.just curious wrote:Queen's Printers.
The Commission reports are listed on the Governement of Canada Publications website - however, only as a reference. It is not listed as being available for sale. It couldn't hurt to contact them anyway:

I've been trying for quite sometime to get my hands on this documentation. We had it at my university and I was blown away with its thoroughness. Basically I was introduced to it as "If you want to know anything about icing, get with those Canadians". Same went with the Swissair 111 accident as far as thoroughness goes. I'll continue to tip my hat to our TSB. For the amount of resources they are allocated ang the territory they cover, they do an excellent job.
You're looking at 1000+ pages, so its going to be a tough one. But I've seen it in the library of a couple of large, international airlines, so its out-there. Let us know if you make any additional progress.

when i started instructing in hamilton in '89-90 i started teaching this young business man. after about ten hours we were sitting down with a coffee and chatting and he told me he was one of the survivors of that crash. i almost fell off my chair as it was huge news at the time. being a self employed businessman, he flew all over the world, but could not bring himself to get on another plane after that. he figured that if he knew a little more about it, he might gain some confidence back. he liked it so much he went on to get his ppl, single ifr and buy his own plane(mooney 201) we are friends to this day.....
I heard back from the TSB. They said since the inquiry was a Royal Commission, not a TSB investigation, they did not have copies of it. They checked with the Government Publications and they said they had no more copies. So I guess it's off to the library unless someone on here has any leads on a copy.
