Re: ottawa
Could be tough for you as there's a very limited number of companies there. No overhaul facilities that I know of. Don't forget to look around the Carp airport as well as YOW.moo wrote:M1 engineer with structures experience moving to ottawa looking for something in the Ottawa area
Ottawa: Sander Geophysics, Fugro, Ottawa Flying Club, First Air, Transport Canada, National Research Council
Carp: First Air, WestAir, Chapman Aircraft Services, Carp Flying Academy, Helicopter Transport Services Canada
Rockcliffe: Rockcliffe Flying Club
That's it as far as I know. If you speak french, check out the airport in Gatineau too.
I didn't think First Air had anything out at Carp anymore. Their head office is in Kanata now and all the maintenance is at the Intl. I think Carp was primarily hawker block checks etc.

1. The company pays me to make money for it.
2. If the company doesn't make money neither do I

That must be WestAir. They've got 1 C150, 1 C172 and a clapped out Navaho running 2 "on condition" engines. Last I heard they had a couple of "parts planes" parked on the ramp as well. If you don't mind working for low pay on junk airplanes in an unheated hangar with a torn roll-up fabric door in the dead of an Ottawa winter, this could be the place for you!123dash wrote:Nothing in Carp now.Was there a while back.Just a little flying school
