Whats the best choice?
Whats a good book to read before you go up in the air for your first flight? Is from the ground up, any good?

From the Ground Up is one of the best books out there. . . no wonder it has been around for so many years. It concentrates on theory and groundschool subjects though. The Flight Training Handbook talks more about the stick and rudder aspects, and what you can expect. I think that it would be a more worthwhile read, but definately get the From the Ground Up at some point.

Besides "From the Ground Up", I think the best book to read before your first flight would have to be "Stick and Rudder". This book is really old but no other book describes HOW to fly nearly as well as this classic.
I can't remember the author's name but I'm sure Google can help you out there.
P.S. Enjoy your flight!
