Porter diverts to Pearson blames the ghosts of City Express

Post by dashx »

Porter did several missed approaches into the Island today (correct me if I am wrong/probably am) and had to go to Pearson. Had to bus their passengers to/from the Island. wow. Brings back some memories... Of course back in the old days the 7/8/saunders didn't have the sophisticated navigation systems that the 400's have now. No matter you just can't fight minimums....on the island anyway.

I've heard it happens from time to time. Pax get a bus or limo service to the island so as much as the convenience of flying into the city is gone, they end up at Esso SkyService and get a free ride to the city.

Oops, that's different. I saw them there a few times in the past when they diverted.

No worries. It's a recent change in their ops.

I heard Esso (Skyservice). That way the 400 is not so lonely on the ramp.

400 might be lonely, but at least it isn't having to pay an arm and a leg to Skyservice for company.
