Attire for AC medical.
All joking aside just wondering what would be the most practical attire for the medical. Is a tie recommended or just business casual? Any input appreciated and thanks in advance.
Cheers!!!

I find it incredible that people are asking what to wear during this entire process.

Perhaps not so incredible. I wholeheartedly agree that a suit is the way to go through the process, however in the case of the medical, I was wondering if they preferred you to wear something less restricting. I mean I don't wear a suit to go to my family doctor for a physical for obvious reasons.TFE731 wrote:

Perhaps I should have asked my question differently as in should wearing a suit to the medical pose any problems?
Thanks to all for answering the question.
Cheers!!!
Keep in mind that EVERYTHING you are doing in front of any aspect of the company is being watched and sometimes noted. From the time you board the airplane to get there for your interview, to the medical, to the agent you deal with on your way back home.
A suit to an everyday medical, yes its not common, but in this case you are also trying to sell yourself off to the doctor as well and not just by simply passing the medical.

I'm surprised they can disclose your attire in the results.
The doc told me it was simply a pass or fail. No in between, for example they can't say that your blood pressure is a little high.
I would think the doctors have better things to do than check out what your wearing, and also, by the time he sees you you've already been put through the paces by the nurse so your'e a little undressed.
I could believe it if it were the receptionists duty to make a note of it.
As a matter of fact, I believe they will make a note of it if you choose to read some of the strategically placed magazines in the room.

KIAS is right on the money. I just wore a pair of Chinos with a nice shirt - it's all in your attitude. Guys in suits sitting there looked so damn uncomfortable (read: high blood pressure) and I can't imagine peeling it off for the ECG and then putting it all back on again to race out to the next event in the medical!

Nonsense.
Gate Agents, Flight attendants etc, through this so called "process" really don't give a shit about you. You really think someone is actually paid to "watch you" while you board the plane?
Come on....

...Seems they are going to remove the axe and the control column from the cockpits for security reasons.
