We have some good news and some bad news

Post by 2R »

The big burly sarg looked out at his platoon and said "we have some good news and some bad news first the good news , we know how much you dislike the heat and the sand and the flies and the demorats want us out so we are leaving Irak at 0400 hours tomorrow"
Whopee was the cheer
"Now the Bad news we leave for Iran ,we should be in Teheran in three days "

Maybe it is a joke !!!

Invading/occupying Iraq was the biggest mistake in recent memory, Iran would be so much worse.... I can only hope the Yanks aren't THAT stupid, but the way things have gone lately, I wouldn't be surprised.

Well, if you're not willing to take out the Iranians you had best resign yourself to the fact that your grand-daughter will be wearing a birka....and working as a servant.......

I love all the armchair quarterbacks in here.

Do you know whats going on with Iran? I seriously doubt you are in the circle of trust.

Sit back and enjoy the ride. If you don't like what you see, get off your ass and do something about it.

LMFAO,

And YOU are so involved??? Jesus, you couldn't find your own asshole with night vision goggles, yet you insinuate that YOU of all people on here are in the "circle of trust?" You make me laugh.

Exactly what is the "circle of trust," and what makes you believe for one minute that they have ANY idea about what's going on? Oh right, you succumbed to that brain washing... Hoo ah

You're serious?

Did you ever consider that maybe the Iranians are thinking the same thing? "If you're not willing to take out the Canadians, best resign yourself that your grand daughter will be drinking that shit Tim Hortons coffee and playing hockey!!!"

It's nice to see that propaganda still works...

STL,

You have no idea what I do in the Marine Corps, nor does anyone on this forum. I'm going to keep it that way.

What I do know about Iran is more than you, or anyone on this forum. I will bet my next two paychecks on that.

Just for clarification, I am not in the "circle of trust" I mentioned. The members usually have stars on their collars or are of an SES rating.
Also if I need to explain the parallel from the movie "meet the parents" then my humour is lost on you.

When I said do something if you don't like what you see, I never said pick up a gun. By all means if thats what you want to do, then stand tall. There is plenty of ways out there to get involved without putting yourself in harms way.

PS. Marines say "Ooh-Rah" The Army says Hooah.

STL, Islamic Fundamentalism started in Iran and they have been working to diligently support and export it as witnessed by the rhetoric of their leaders and the presence of Iranian nationals in various Islamic uprisings around the world.
This is not a matter of who is right or wrong. (Neither side is right or wrong). It's a matter of who is in control. There are certain factions that see islam as a great weapon for putting themselves on top of the food chain. It would not matter if the west pulled out of the middle east tommorrow; these factions would continue to attack (think of them as islamic George Bushs). Taking out Iran would put a real crimp in their plans.
Having said all that, I doubt the states will go into Iran. (I just don't see them having the will to take on the Chinese.) Now, if the states were really smart, they'd bomb Iran into the stone age without ever putting a boot on the ground. It would kill two birds with one stone; take out the heart of radical islam and show the Chinese that the west will respond sharply to any threats.

Nark,

For all you know, I am Iranian... My point being that, this is a (roughly) anonymous forum, and without being able trot out ones real credentials, it's pointless to engage in that type of thing. I may be the Ambassador of China to Iran, you'll never know, but I'm guessing I don't have you fooled on that one.

Here's my view, do with it what you please.

Iran, Iraq, Al Qaeda, Israel, and contemporary Islamic, Christian, Jewish Fundamentalism are all symptoms, not problems. They are symptoms of centuries, decades, months, weeks, and days of Western involvement in that part of the world. You can take it back as far as you like, I'm sure you know the history, it's just the version I question.

If the Americans and Brits, Canadians and the rest left tomorrow, would things instantly improve? No, of course not. If it were me over there, I know my memory would be long too. I can honestly say that even I hate what America has come to stand for, and I'm a Canadian neighbor in good standing, I can't even imagine what it's like to be on the receiving end of American coercion, meddling, ideological and economic evangelism.

If it were my country, I too would have a rifle, bomb, Molotov Cocktail or a rock.

This whole situation is a symptom.

As for getting involved, I am certainly doing that, and this doesn't count. The pen, or keyboard these days, is a powerful tool, and there are some interesting projects on the way to a website near you.

I seem to recall that you gave us both your rank and MOS (or trade or job classification or whatever apellation jarheads apply to what the CF calls a MOC) some time ago.

Don't try to pretend that you're a Force Recon Major on loan to the Seals, because it won't wash.

A senior cardinal woke up the pope in the middle of the night "Il papa we have some good news and some bad news what you want first ?"
"Gimme da goods news first as i am waking up "said the pontif
"It Jesus the Lord of Lords ,King of Kings he is back and he is on the phone and he wants to talk to you"said the cardinal
"He is back that is great ,so how could there be any bad news ???"

"He is calling from Las Vegas "said the cardinal

Also heard the version he is calling from Mecca
He is calling from Salt lake city
He is calling from Constantinople,

The new version would be he is calling from one of the defective churches collect and you will have to send twelve dollars to speak to him

Anyone got anymore good news bad news jokes ???

That is the stupidest post I've read on Avcanada this month. Congrats.

So, when Fox News reports from the State Departmart that Canada is developing weapons of mass destruction, dirty bombs, anthrax envelopes and are preparing to invade the USA, are you going to believe that too?

Pay attention to the price of oil. It's more relevant than you think.

Sorry, not Recon.

And Force Recon is done away with. It's now MARSOC. However each battalion still keeps its Recon.

Typical military unintelligence. Concentrate in an acronym or small detail and avoid the subject.

Go back to watching FOX news, so you will be better informed.

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” Joseph Goebbels

Hmmm..... people seem to be quite prepared to believe that the Americans want to run the world (and I'm not saying that they don't). Why do they find it so hard to believe that there are other groups in the world with similar goals?
The islamic fundamentalist leaders don't want to destroy the Americans, they want to replace them. Read some of their stuff.
Now, before anybody starts to get upset and brings out the 'racist' card do note that I am talking about the islamic fundamentalists and not islam in general. Iran has been controlled by radical islam since the revolution in the 70s. We are talking about very patient people who see their religion as a way to spread their control. It's happened in the past, look at how much power the Catholic Chuch had.
For those of you who don't see things this way, cool, it's a free country. However, none of you have come up with anything to to convince me to change my opinion.

Any religious extremist is dangerous because of the fact they think they hold the absolute truth. That makes them intolerant towards others, and it gives them the justification to do anything they can think off to reach their goals. The US has extremist catholics who are just as dangerous as the extremist muslims in Iran.
