And why not? I don't get it when pilots think they are so much better than the rampie/CSA/AME or whoever. It is a team effort to do this stuff and I hate to say it, because I'm one of them, but pilots can be dicks to these people. Some have an attitude that just pisses me off, they think they are better than everyone else, just because they are a pilot.
Well hey, I'm one too (as well as being an engineer) and everyone in the hangar thinks I'm a pretty good guy because I treat them well and try to teach them a thing or two. The rampies (we hire mostly ame students)like me because they get to do their job without being shit on and actually get to work on airplanes now and then.. The CSA's love me, not just because I'm the dirty old man, because I treat them with respect and do what I can to help them.
As quoted above, treat people the way you would like to be treated. For newbies, treat them the way you wish you had been treated. It will come back to you in more ways than you can imagine..
