I know, i love the lack of description, and a pay that would have you living on the dock/ hangar. Doesn't even list aircraft type or time requirements

I'd be fascinated to know how many resumes he got... I bet at least 300 to 400 easily.

definately, i never sent a resume but i sent an email asking for more info, just to see what the job is (definately wouldn't take it for 15 to move to BC for 1 month with no guarantee of future employment)

Multi-pilot might mean several pilots

All it takes is one person to take that job to keep the wages low. Why don't we all work for free! :drinkers:

Hey! I used to work for $300 per month plus $0.03 per mile on a Cessna 180 on floats in Flin Flon Man, spring of 1966. 4 months later I was up to $350 + $0.05 on the Husky. Good wages back then. Supported a wife and child and bought a car on those wages. A brand new Chevy cost under $4000 new.
In today's market, $15.00 per hour gets you a rocket scientist flipping burgers at a cheap burger joint.
I would work for $15.00 per hour for standby plus per diems but $150.00 per hour flying time with a 45 hour per month guarantee and that is Air time. Add 30 min per trip for flight time.

What do you call a co-pilot who does not have a girlfriend?
Homeless!!!

The average pilot, despite the somewhat swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy and caring.
These feelings just don't involve anyone else.

In 1974 I was working on an assembly line at $13 per hr.
In 1978 I was flying a C-180 for $500 per month, no mileage.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.. :?

Do you want a good guide to wages, look at the price of a new mid size Chevy family sedan. In all the years I have been flying, a pilot with 3000 hours and 5 to 6 years will earn the price of a new mid size Chevy family sedan in about 10 months. As experience increases, check out the cost of a new Buick or Caddy.
At $15:00 per, you ride the transit.

wages

when as a kid 15 or so we were moving again and as was loading
a couple of drawers from the parents dresser I saw my dad's auto deposit pay stub from 1969 after taxes as a helicopter engineer
with new 206 endorsement and 16 yrs exp for the old ok heli

factor in the 900 percent increases in taxes and the 400 percent cost of inflation in 37/1/2 yrs

= nearly 9000 per month in todays $$

we were well fed had a nice house in van and attended private school

to do that today you would need an annual $ of over 500K

the biggest rate of inflation has been gov't taxes because we the people have abdicated our responsiblity to look after ourselves to the "bureaucrasy and we know that is very efficient/lol 8)
