Hey

I was offered a job there. You work monday to friday, anywhere from 4am or 6am to about 8pm. You make 19K a year as a co-joe but there is a fast upgrade period, somewhere in the range of about 8 months. You fly 1000 hrs a year or so, you get I believe its $30 a day as a per diem, and so you can tac on another $6000 a year to your wage if you don't spend it. Be ready for some un-happy people, but if you can deal with the shit, than you will be at an airline in no time. Oh and survive on KD because you either live in Van or Cowtown.

But, I guess if you want to get to AC, Jazz or WJ, it's a quick way to get the required time. I'd bet with the latest batch of guys jumping that the wages will go up.

Twotter;

If you think that jumping the ship will cause them to push up their wages, why should this not apply to an apparently unhappy group of people at WCA where supposedly the same situation exists. Looks like this crowd won't put up with the shit handed to them. The question is why do those at WCA put up with it. Or should this outfit unionize as well?

Actually carholme, a lot of the ones moving on from carson are ex WCA drivers.. The problem at WCA is totally different than carson. At Carson, the drivers get valuable time toward furthering their career if they choose to go to an airline, and most went there for that exact reason.

At WCA it could be a great job for someone who chooses to do the float thing for a career, you are home every night, you can have a real life etc. Except that you get treated like crap there and they don't pay you for what you do. That's why they are getting a union and Carson isn't.
