Best Gun For Putting Out Unwanted Landing Lights..

Post by Doc »

My vote goes for a short barreled shot gun. Maybe a Mossberg pump, in 12 gage. That way, it can double as a bear gun with slugs. For landing lights, I'd use a light bird load, and hang out the passenger door as I taxi by, and take out the guy's lights as I go by. You might need a goose load for the extra anal lights on Hawkers and Saabs. King Air lights would be a much lighter load.
Thoughts?

Sure, but what would your choice be for the nav lights?

While a good idea is a good idea, the fact remains that only criminals in Canada may carry bazookas.....besides, Bazookas went out in the early 50's.....we now use RPGs, TOW missles, and recoiless rifles.....all of which are also only allowed to be owned and used by criminals in Canada.

As with my all my flying its all about precision and acuracy Ice cold no mistakes. There for I would suggest a Reminton model 700 308 bolt action with a Bushnell 4-16 x 40mm Scope. Add some camoflauge and your in business! Enjoy

Try this...

I think it's a little better than a 22-250. Mind you, that's a great little gun for deer..

LMFAO!

You win....

Although you may have problems limiting the damage to the landing lights....!

Magnum 357 Long barrel...good for shooting at locals through the storm window as you do a low and over to check for deliberate debris on the runway and them pesky kids who put it there....

Hell, even if there's nothing there..just shoot the place up anyway..everyone else does........

While you boys are taking out one, maybe a couple at a time, I like to just get it over with.

The most difficult thing about flying is knowing when to say no.

After over a half a century of flying I can not remember even one trip that I refused to do that resulted in someone getting killed because of my decision not to fly.

That's one cool shotgun. Quite a change from my old single-shot Cooey that almost tore your shoulder off. I remember being so worried about the mule-kick I was about to get that I couldn't hit a duck at more. than 50'.

You guys need to learn how to build a vegetable relocator (aka potato gun) - all the parts are available at Canadian Tire:

CYOX - pretty much exactly like that except my stylin' Elmer Fudd hunting cap was way cooler than his turban. (and I held my shoulder while the man tears formed in the corner of my eyes longer than he did).
