WestJet speed SOP 250 below 10,000 on departure.
I've posted this elsewhere, but probably have more chance of getting a WJA pilot seeing it here
Can a WestJet driver out there confirm or correct the whisper doing the rounds that you all are restricted by company ops to a max speed of 250 kts below 10,000 feet on departure.
(This is with reference to CAR 602.32 Subsection 3)
I'm teaching an Enroute to Terminal conversion course, and the topic came up.
Ta much.

From my FOM:
Do not exceed 250 knots in the climb below 10,000 feet, unless specifically requested by ATC. Before accepting an ATC speed request exceeding 250 knots, considerations should be given to flight conditions, VFR traffic density and/or bird activity. ATC climb speed requests may be accepted up to a maximum of 280.
