How useful is a science/geography-aviation degree? Are there a lot of flying jobs where you need science/geography knowledge? And would Western's program be more useful? Thanks in advance!

Not that a degree wouldn't help at all, but considering the amount of time and money that needs to be invested in order to acquire a degree, I don't really see the point if you know from the beginning that you want to be a pilot. Get into the training done, and get working as soon as you can so you can get some experience while pilot's are in demand.

Never hurts to have a back up

I did the degree first, and while I'm getting into the game later now, I feel better having a backup. Plus, it can only help you getting into the airlines if that's what you're ultimately looking at.

Like I said, it doesn't hurt to have a degree.......... But if you know what you're gonna do, do it. You don't see doctors learning how to fix cars for a backup....
