Sunwest Aviation
There seems to be a lot of ads for positions at Sunwest in Calgary. Can anyone tell me what kind of company they are to work for.
Thanks in advance.

I can't believe this crap still happens! Don't you people know how the hell to do research?
Their like any other company out there, they have their good points but they have their bad points too. They have a large and varried fleet and if you must know they do more things right than wrong; and in my opinion they do more things right than others.
P.S They advertise for for crews because just like everyone else including A.C & WJ, they need pilots and it does'nt make them leppors.....frickin people get a brain and read.

I still find there is more energy wasted by telling people how to use the search function then just replying if you can answer the question. Plus companies change hands and good management come and go so why not ask around for the current information about a company.
Honestly does it piss you off so much someone asked the same question that others already have? Maybe he should know better but why go off the deep end ?

Dude,
slowstream, are all your posts that dum?
FD, they are bond heavy. If you don't have the contrail requirements you might find yourself working night shift hauling bags. The shifts are very long considering the amount of air time you'll get. You will likely get 2-3 times the experience if you look at other operators, possibly north. There are plenty of good people working there, but make sure you know what you're signing up for before putting pen to paper.

Maybe you should put that energy into actually answering his questionslowstream wrote:I can't believe this crap still happens! Don't you people know how the hell to do research?

They Seem Good
Hey there,
Just ignore Slowstream they guy seems to be too messed to be able to give and poitive advice. Anyway Sunwest has several planes from prop to jet. The pilots seem pleased with the company and don't appear to be bitter like Slowstream. If you can get in I wish you the best of luck.

Good for you Skud Run! I've found that in aviation there are some unreasonable people. One guy I flew with seriously needs psychiatric assistance. Makes me wonder how some of them fall through the cracks.Skud Run wrote:Hey there,

Hey at least he didn't ask another freeking headset question!
BTW there's actually not much posted about SW in the forum, you'd have to dig pretty deep to find much. There's a bit on the salary page, and a bit on the employment page and that's about it.
PM me and I'll tell you what I know...
