My favorite was "you've told us lots of positive of working here, now tell us something negative you know about us"...to which I replied "...well you're the lowest paying 1900 operator in Canada".

The room got very very quite for a few uncomfortable moments after which time it became apparent that I wouldn't be working for them any time soon.

It's not just aviation of course, but if I had to do it all over again, I think I'd do a degree in theater.

Working for other people, surviving in corporate culture, doing well in job interviews, it's more about your acting skills than anything else. Form over content. Image over substance.

If you can fake it and B.S. like a pro, you'll do well. You might even get to head a lobby group someday.

If you can't fake it, the system will weed you out.

Do not write things like this when I'm drinking a beer. I'll be lucky if I don't have to buy a new keyboard and monitor.

On another note, Westjet is famous for their "tell me about a specific time" questions.

Now if I'm feeling cheeky here's one for you all.

"Tell me about a specific time one of your Captains made a decision a customer didn't agree with, and how did you deal with it??"

Watch the yowling and shreiking and running for cover.

Good only if you've already decided the interview has gone bad, or you don't want the job.

I dunno about lowest paid. I thought "no fun" airlines in SK paid lower for the 1900.
