Doc's picks for the NFL playoffs

Post by Doc »

The NFL playoffs start this weekend. My picks.
In the AFC we have the Steelers vs the Jaguars. I'm going with the Steelers. I think Big Ben will do the deed against the Jags.
Still with the AFC, we have the Titans of Tennessee taking on the Chargers of San Diego. Looking for a big game here form Tomlinson and a Charger victory.

Moving to the NFC Giants vs Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay is starting Jeff Garcia and he has had some luck against the Giants in the past, but I'm looking for Eli Manning to have a stellar day and bring the Giants through this.
Which brings us to Washington and Seattle. My favorite in this one is the Redskins, but their coach has pulled a couple of royal brain farts of late, and Seattle will probably come out on top.

So, that's the Steelers, Chargers, Giants and Seahawks living to play another day.

Other than SD, they're all tough calls. If we're just picking winners I'd guess SD, Jacksonville, Washington and Tampa.

There's no freakin way that un-coordinated buffon of a quarter back Rothlisburger is going to carry the Steelers.

Jags win by 14 or more.

The question is, do I put 10 points on NE? They play 1 less than some other teams, like the Redskins, who contrary to Doc's bantering, have been playing amazing as of late.

Looks like the Giants are going to come through for me. Methinks the Chargers will make it three out of four. Should have got off my wallet. Steelers would have done the deed if Ben had been able to get just two more first downs!

But, as long as Tom Brady stays right side up....but ya never really know.....on any given Sunday! Colts? Packers?

Romo is toast! Jessica Simpson will be in the stands. All poor Romo will manage, is to "point" in the wrong direction! The Cowgirls are going DOWN, I tell ya! I'm thinking the Giants over the Cowboys. Any given Sunday. Eli Manning is gaining confidence every week. Giants have nothing to lose, and the Cowboys would have to hang their heads all winter. Giants over Cowboys? Stranger things have happened.

Okay, another week of playoffs. First off, New England is going to skin the Jaguars, and tack their pelts to the wall. Jacksonville may as well send their cheerleaders. It'll be the same result!

Pretty much the same will happen to the Chargers. They didn't show enough last week for me to think they have even a prayer against the Colts.

The Packers, Seahawks game will be a good one. Could really go either way, but You just have to go with Brett. The Pack in a good one.

Now, the Cowboys and the Giants. Eli Manning has been on a steady road to improvement the last few games. They (Giants) have won every away game this year, except in Dallas. I'm looking for an upset here. I'm looking for Romo to be pussy whipped after a week off, and I think he'll be colour blind from too much time spent at the "Y"! I'm picking the Giants.

Pats, Colts, Pack, Giants....the rest of you can go home and work on reducing your slice! And Tony, for Christ's sakes man, get you ears fixed!

Why Dallas is gonna win???

-T.O is gonna crap all over their secondary...
-Nobody can stop Barber!
-Eli is gonna get sacked on multiple occassions by Damarcus Ware.
-Nobody can sack ROMO
-Terry Glenn is gonna be stronger
-Crayton is playin well
-Witten, the best TE is the NFL, is gonna wreck em!
-Nick Folk is the golden leg of the NFL
-Strahan is gonna crap out...
-Home field advantage for Cowboys!

Last but not least....Texas stadium has a hole in the roof so God can watch. Naturally, God wants the cowboys to win. He won't make them perfect, but he will make sure that they will continue to be greatest team in NFL history!

I just don't think it's fair that God is a Cowboy fan! Most would agree with you. And you've got God on your side!

Your picks sound great Doc.

T.O. is injured, so you can say good bye to the cow pokes. Romo looks like he needs t o to make him look good.

New england, Indianapolis, NY Giants, Green Bay

With M Harrison coming back Indianapolis could stop New England(If Philly can almost do it with their back up qb, why can't they?)
Green Bay should be able to beat the G men at home.

As good as the patriots and Indy are, Favre could work his magic to seal up a perfect ending to his career!

It should be a fun post season though!

Where are you getting your info from? Owens was up & running today....

For now, they say it will be a game time decision, but he will be there! Will be as efffective??? Well....if not, then Romo will win the game!

Romo is better then Manning!

Cowboys | Owens still limping, may be limited Wednesday
Mon, 7 Jan 2008 13:42:54 -0800

Dallas Cowboys WR Terrell Owens (ankle) continues to limp because of his high ankle sprain. His teammates are confident he will be able to play in the team's Divisional Round playoff game. Head coach Wade Phillips said he faces a dilemma in playing Owens in the game and the possibility of not having him for the rest of the playoffs. Owens may be limited during practice Wednesday, Jan. 9.

This is from Kffl a fantasy football sight which is reliable.

Next question..........
(that's a bit of t.o. press conference humor if ya didn't get it)
