Caution still warranted despite WestJet's strong 4Q results

WestJet Airlines Ltd.’s better-than-expected fourth quarter results yesterday proved once again that despite putting more planes in the air last year, the Calgary carrier can still put more bums in its seats and raise ticket prices. The strong performance had some revising their earnings estimates, but most analysts remain cautious about the macro environment for Canadian airlines in latter half of 2008.
