Porter Airlines to Acquire Two Additional Bombardier Q400 Airliners
Mar 3, 2008 -- Bombardier Aerospace announced today that Porter Airlines of Toronto has signed a firm order contract for two 70-seat Q400 turboprop airliners. The transaction represents the conversion of two of the 10 options taken by Porter when it placed a firm order for 10 Q400 aircraft in 2006, and brings the total number of firm Q400 aircraft orders placed by the airline to 12.

Any idea on new destinations? Or are they just expanding on existing routes?

Looks like Deluce is still stickin' it to Miller, Layton and Chow and I'm lovin' it. Keep up the good work.

Big plans are ahead for em. Right now the possible destinations they're looking at are: YQB, KBOS, Philidelphia, Washington, Pittsburgh, Windsor and Detroit, KORD, YAM, Timmins and Thunder Bay. I think the newest destination will be KORD but that is just me.

Gustind...you almost got it right...KMDW not KORD, whenever Chicago is added. Why mess with delays and be farther from downtown Chicago if you don't have to. (Same reasoning YTZ vs YYZ).

Yeah, they couldn't find a few planes under all the bloody snow

. Enough is enough with this weather, spring can come any time now.

Anyone know if Porter ever plans to have pilot bases in other cities, like CYOW for example.

Friends there tell me that getting pilots is harder every day, like for all operators, so there is flexibility depending on qualifications and personality.
Do apply.

I would guess YUL, if there is a need for more "frenchies", especially FAs.
