Cascade screws Employees Again

Post by Asscade »

At the beginning of April the contract between Cascade Aerospace and the CAW Union ended And now have been at the bargaining table with disasterus results for the Worker. Cascade offer for wage increases was 1.1% 1.2% and 1.4% for the next 3 years . What a slap in the Face for a company who already doesn't have a good reputation for paying good wages. Lately Cascade solution for obtaining employees is to import them from the Philippines because no one else would come in these good times for aviation for are already low wages and now they insult us with this offer. Not only that but if we were to accept there insulting offer they would want to take away a good chunk of our benefits on top.

The workers have now taken a strike vote which I'm happy to say was 98% in favor but the company has done one more thing to Screw the worker . Cascade has a Canadian military Contract for C-130 Cargo Planes and those Bastards have put an application in to try to make that line essential services. Can you believe it ? Canada has not declared war on any country so how on earth could the have an argument for essential services?? Essential service is to protect the public of immediate harm ,example police cant go on strike, but we are talking about a cargo plane have they ever heard of fex ex? I guess the moral of this story is that everyone is getting screwed by this jimmy paterson wannabe company whether you are an a employee or a taxpayer where they are bringing in foreign workers to work on our Government planes and trying to lower the standard for all aerospace workers.

So I suspect Cascade employees will be out on the picket line fighting for higher standards for all aerospace workers soon so please give them your support and send cascade a letter telling them what a disgrace they are to our industry.

I guess now because of the reputation of this company I should say that everything above is just my opinion :)

What about the guy in Afghanistan waiting for his new amour, the part to fix his APC. I see your point about the company it sucks and yes it sucks to have something declared essential to ensure the company has revenue. But some of that stuff you are moving around might just be important to the front line guys.

As I am not privy to the contents, I may be out to lunch, but support the right to not get a crappy contract and your right to protect yourself by striking.

Not looking for a fight just want to make sure we see the bigger military engagement we are in.

At first I thought "Asscade" was just a clever user name. After reading the post, I'm convinced he just spelled Cascade wrong. Between the terrible spelling and the bad grammar, that was a pretty difficult post to read.

Asscade, wen your negoshiating you're kontrakt, ewe shood breen an interperter with ewe.

Good old unions. So how much is CAW paying for strike pay? Let me guess 200 hundred a week? And how much do you have to pay back once your working again? Business unions at their finest.
