Interesting info on Tremblant airport (Laurentians, Quebec). The article here says how they owe the tax man $95,000 in 'Canada Border Services Agency' fees. Problem is, according to them, they are the only airport in Canada to pay the steep $1,100 per flight fee. Sounds kind of high to me. Not sure if it's because they are farther away from any major city than most international airports. Earlier this morning, I read a follow up article that the Cdn gov't has nicely agreed to keep the airport open despite the fact that they still owe them money.

Serge Lariviere has done some amazing things to that airport, I hope this all works out for him and the Tremblant airport.

Serge has always been excellent and always made every trip into Tremblant a pleasure. Why do we pay taxes for CBSA and then when we want to use them it will cost us again ?
