Howdy folks
I've just finished my TQ3 in Avionics with the Air Force and am currently working on my Journeyman book before my type course on the Sea King. I've been in contact with TC regarding getting my quals for writing my AME in a few years and was told I needed to write two exams, one for Standard Practices and one for Avionics Systems. From what I understand after that is about 6 months before I can become licensed I can then write my CARS exam for my AME-E (provided I pass the previous two successfully and meet the criteria for my logbook (with specialization in Avionics for 1 year and 6 months in the civilian aviation industry).
I have ordered CARS for the AME (came highly recommended), but was wondering if anyone knew of any good books that would help me with the first two exams (Standard Practices and Avionics systems)? It's basically everything I've studied over the last 15 months, but unfortunately the military does not let us keep our books, not to mention it'd be good to get a bit of a brush up.
Any guidance or recommendations are GREATLY appreciated.
