I started ground school a month ago and I am gonna start flying this saturday (weather permitting)...

I did my medical exam on Wednesday and my optical exam yesterday (medical examiner wanted the exam... maybe due to my perscription?)

Anyways, what comes next? Do I contact someone or does it just arrive as something in the mail? Any idea how long it takes Transport to issue it? I assume I don't really need it until I solo, but the sooner the better I guess...

Once you've been checked out by the Doc and he has your optical results, he sends it off to TC for approval. You should get your medical in a couple weeks time in the mail.

Mine took three weeks from when the doc sent it in

Mine took 5 weeks.

Mine took about 3 weeks.

If it doesn't show up in one month. Start calling TC.

mine took 5 weeks...I had my medical test in Brussels, Belgium.
