Those flying away from light pollution of big cities...

Post by ... »

Last week I was working (flying) back down from Northern Ontario when I noticed the following new star in the sky. I have never seen it before. I saw it for several days I thought initially it was the space station but it was a steady light unlike the space station that waivers and speckles for a few moments before it fades away into the dark.

You can't miss it. It's very large. It sits low and to the west.
If some have seen it as well and know what I'm talking about take a picture of it and post it on here.

It seems to be a topic of conversation for many up in remote areas. I tried to find any news on it but to no avail.

It's not Venus or the Northern Star...NOR the Moon  that much I know.

If I get away from the bright lights of my city, I'll have a look. Sometimes both street lights are on, and it is hard to see the night sky.

I'm pretty sure it's Mars (right below Venus). I thought at some time during the year, you're able to see Mars. Could be wrong tho...
