"Widow" Appreciation Fund
Widow has been a regular contributer on this board for quite some time now. She is willing to get in there and mix it with the best of us. Her posts are always insightful and educational. As most of us know, aviation dealt her a very low blow. Her husband was lost in BC in a tragic accident. Since then she has been an advocate for more safety throughout the industry. If there is an aviation accident, or incident anywhere in this country, you can bet Widow is right on Transport Canada's doorstep, lobbying for answers and better conditions.
Well, it's time aviation, and the denizens of this board specifically to show their appreciation to Widow for a job well done.
Cat Driver actually came up with the idea of hiring Widow in the "Employment" forum.
So, lets start a "Widow Appreciation Fund". Christmas is right around the corner, and our lovely lady is a mom.
So, put down the beer. Go over to your cheque book and write a cheque for TWELVE DOLLARS. How did we come up with that number? Because we can all afford twelve bucks. That's 7 medium Timmies. Less than two decks of smokes. That's ONE dollar a month for a year. But, it's enough to make a Christmas a little brighter.
Send your cheque for $12 (you could send more, but I don't want it to be a competition. And I want it to come from as many of you as we can get)

This just in. Her paypal account is connected to her email account: kis.ca@telus.net
One more thing. Post a reply here, so we know who to thank.
Many thanks, and everybody have a great Christmas!

You guys are making me tear up ...
EngineGuy ... there are probably a hundred threads here that talk about the accident ... the most extensive is viewtopic.php?f=54&t=31431.
I also maintain a website about what happened, and what has (and has not) happened since ... http://www.questforjustice.ca

I can manage $13, 'cause I know Timmmie's charges GST & PST. As long as she doesn't get the pre-schooler hooked on double doubles.

Re: "Widow" Appreciation Fund
I think your paypal account and mailbox should tell you the level of support you have with those who've heard you speak.
I'd pay this and more every year if I thought it would be enough to convince you to speak on my(our) behalf full time.
Nice idea, I feel all...... christmassy and stuff!
