VAL offer!
Just been offered a position with VAL at either the Timmins or North Bay. I know that at North Bay they are not doing any medevac any longer. Can someone shed some light on how many hours they do at both bases and what there days on/off are.

Let me guess, you also want to know what the pay is like, what type of aircraft they run, and how long for upgrade....were you present at the interveiw or did you send a rep?
Re: VAL offer!
As far as I know, YYB doesn't fly as often, although YXL and YTS fly almost all the time.. Scheduling in YTS or YXL depends on how much staff, 12 to 17 apprx. shifts a month for dedicated bases.
It's all in your lifestyle, ask yourself what you want.....If its hours your after, dedicated base is the way to go.
Good Luck.

Re: VAL offer!
Bright question. You not only don't know what your going to be doing for your new employer, but you also paid them $10,000 for the priviledge to not know what you're doing. Either this is a set up or your the dumbest fuckin idiot I've read on AVCandada!! Hello PT Barnum, I admire you so much!
What little I do know is either not important or I've forgotten it!

Re: VAL offer!
You are wondering if you should go work for VAL in Timmins or North Bay. Are you an experienced F/O? Are your radio communications strong? Do you have well-exercised IFR skills? Have you ever worked commercially in a 2 crew environment? If you've answered 'no' to any of these questions then my advice to you my friend, if you have a choice, is to go to North Bay. Just trust me on this!
