Airsprint lays off pilots?

Just heard a rumour that Airsprint has layed off a few pilots..... is this true or just a rumour?

It's true, a buddy of mine works there, told me they laid off some first officers. Can't remember how many though.

More horrible news.. I'm not religious but my prayers are with you all.. May this bullshit end at some point very soon..Thank you USA and thank you media.. And now they complain that they are the ones feeling the pain.. HAHAHHAHA!

Oh and I forgot.. the NDP wants to bring in some stupid airline ending legislation..

Just wondering what bases did they let the FOs go from? I know someone flying with Air Sprint.

They laid off Citation Excel pilots in Calgary (4 total), Pilatus First Officers in Calgary, Kitchener and Montreal (6 total). No real rhyme or reason to the lay offs either. Time spent with the company and performance seems to mean nothing at AirSprint. Plus a company wide wage freeze was put in place to those who remain. Looks like bad times
