Rumor has it that the praries are looking at a large bug infestation again this spring. Due to the inclimate weather, Ice ants have appeared in several areas which attack the wheat as it germinates, and there are alot of "hotspots" around. The chemical manufacturers are all ready sold out of some insecticides and there will be a ton of flying to combat the infestation. Alberta environment may be issueing temporary applicator permits to deal with the problem and the aerial applicators are hiring for the up coming rush of spraying. Get your resume's out!

At this time last year I had sprayed 50.000 hectares, now I am down to only 34.000 here in Argentina.

It's really dry down here, it wont be a banner season but we are always flyin some. Covering bigger distances to get jobs that we wouldn't normally.
I expect to finish here arond mid April just in time to get my old Thrush ready for those bugs !!
Hope the winter wasn't all that bad back home.
Cheers!
