I was wondering if anyone has any idea about these "label insertions"

I originally received a licence with a PPL on it (this was printed, not a sticker) found on page 3, which is the first available space.

Now my question. Where does the CPL sticker go? I was told by some to put it on top of the printed PPL. Then others told me to put it right below on page 3 (the next available space, but this means that it will show both PPL and CPL)

The instructions on the thing says to put it on the next available space.

Then I phoned TC and they were not sure. After being on hold for a while, I was told to put it on Page 5 (but thay would leave 1 empty space on page 3 and a completely blank page 4)

Does anyone know where does this sticker go???

It should go in the next available spot in the appropriate section.

If an AP has authorized a rating or license then it should go over that 'position'

Right, that's what I thought, and that's why there is 1 available spot right underneath the printed licence and 2 on the next page (page 4) but TC told me to put it on Page 5 which is for the Authorized Person sign thing, which doesn't apply here.

So that's why I'm confused. I don't personally care where it goes, I just want to make sure that wherever I put it, the licence is valid!

I got a sticker for my ATPL booklet when I renewed my
MIFR. I just put it in the next blank spot, right underneath
the first one - you can see both of them.

I'm not sure I did it right, either. It is entirely probable that
I will receive yet another registered letter in respect of this.

If you actually read the book, on page 5 it says, right above where an authorized person would sign the licence for a new licence or rating "Place next licence/permit label here" written in light blue. Page 3 and 4 are (as far as I know) reserved for other printed licences (IE if someone has a Glider Licence, and a Helicopter Licence, and Balloon Licence as well). Which makes sense, since there are only 4 spaces for that, but there are 16 spaces for the authorized person to sign, and if you go from PPL to Night Rating, to ME-IFR, Seaplane with a group 1 renewal, then ATPL within a couple years, you'll use up most of those 16 spots.

After re-reading the TC link above and comparing it to the booklet, it seems that there's a discrepancy.

The link shows Page 3, the same as the actual book's page 5. However, the booklet is different that it does have 4 spaces for other licenses on Pages 3 & 4 (Glider, Helicopter, etc, ...) as mentionned by Radiohead.

I believe that's the confusion. Good old TC given out instruction to which things don't apply anymore. Nothing like changing things without properly informing the consumer or updating their site...

I'm still wondering how this new RVOP and LVOP will pan out ... I can't find this IAIP that they're mentionning in the CAP anywhere. But that's another thread.

Anywho, my bad, Page 5 it is!
