Re: Gear Up in CYVC
Try looking at it this way.Plane down for season = junior pilot layoff = Pilot that F**K up keeps his 80K year job
That pilot has ensured that many other people have jobs such as the mechanics who fix the airplane.
The people in the insurance business.
All the drones in the various offices who get to do paper work revolving around the incident.
And it gives all the Avcanada regulars something to read.
See....you have to look on the plus side of everything.
The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no
After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

Igloo is that really how this is going to play out? If so, wow!

What a piss poor way to look at this. After a while were all gonna "f**k up" and if you get sh*t canned the first time it happens then everybody would be fired.igloo wrote:Government no different then any other avaition company in LaRonge.

And as for your wonderful equation there, I do believe they already have a replacement in service. So nobody gets fired OR a layoff off, everybody gets a very sobering reminder about safety and the aviation business continues to go up and down.

Since 9/11, not one pilot has hijacked his own aircraft with his tweezers.

So is it a mystery what the SK government uses an Aero Commander for?

The Commanders are used to Birddog the Sask Convair 580 tankers. They replaced the Barons because the needed an aircraft fast enough to stay in front of the Convairs.Jastapilot wrote:So is it a mystery what the SK government uses an Aero Commander for?
