Does anyone know of upcoming assessment dates in YVR? I can't find any info on the Take Charge website.

No one has any info? Is there still a demand for controllers or has that ship sailed? My spouse is really interested in pursuing a career with Nav Canada and she did the online assessments earlier in the year. No contact yet though...

Along with nearly every other sector of the economy, hiring has slowed, but there should be a continuing demand for new controllers. Especially when the economy picks back up.

I did my online test in December and did actual testing Feb 2nd. That's all the info I can give you. I had my first interview March 12, and never heard anything again, however, never received a rejection letter either. I do know someone had received their call for the second interview last month.

The operational ATC and FSS who frequent the forum would really have no idea about assessment dates. Your best bet is to phone the number on the recruitment website.

I got an e-mail back from recruiting that said there are no planned assessment dates for now but there should be something within 3-4 months.

I'm just starting the process myself; currently waiting to see if I'm invited to an assessment session.

Looks from the Take Charge site that the next assessment session dates in Ontario are June 18 and 26 for Ottawa, and July 10 for Mississauga.

Got an invite to the July 10 Toronto assessment. Anyone else going?

Just an update on Toronto if anyone's following this...

At the assessment on Friday we were told by the test administrator from NavCan that there is an IFR course in Toronto scheduled for October, and a VFR course scheduled for January 2010.

I wonder if that means they delayed or cancelled the other IFR course. Over the phone two weeks ago I was told IFR in September and VFR in October were the next courses.
