I know there is that link to the other Chat thing but is there anyway of having a Chat menu linked to this site with the same user names and such and have it linked into the forum page like General discussion etc. Im sure youd get more people online BSing.

I have downloaded several different chat mods. When I get a chance I will test them out.

I would like to integrate skype into the phpbb but I am unsure how many of you actually use skype http://www.skype.com .

Skype also has a chat option now. Skype also has IM, computer to land line (need to buy a credit but very cheap), computer to computer voice (free and very clear)....

If any of you guys use skype you can add the following in your signature to allow yourself to be contacted by skype


[ url = callto://replacewithyourskypeusername]Call replacewithyourskypeusername by Skype[ /url ]

Remove the spaces in the [ by url and = as well by /url and [] to work

I would like to request that the user names of the people in the chat room be linked once again to their user information.

It was that way before. I don't know why you changed it.

It is nice to check out old posts of those chatting, to see if you have anything in common with them before joining the chat.

With the new version of this phpbb the mod would not allow for the user profile info to work. So I tweaked it a little to make it work. When I get a chance I plan to work with the mod to have it work as it originally did. It is on my list to do when I get back from my holidays.
