Not sure on rampie time but the cost of living up here is fairly high, your looking 1200 for a 1 bedroom and 1400 for a 2 bedroom apartment, prolly about 650-900 to rent a room. pros for that company is that u get to work with alot of older stuff but the con is that ive heard old Joe has a few screws loose.

A job is not to be passed down in these economic times. Even if you don't like Buffalo you're in the right place to get started in aviation. It is expensive to live up here but the huge dollars you make working on the ramp help, joking. There are quite a few people on the ground right now so it would be 1 -2 two years. You are expected to work like a dog so be ready for that, but it pays off if you stick around. There is not a lot of flying right now due to the economy but it will pick up. Good luck whatever you do.

expect to work hard and without schedule, do not contradict joe ever regardless , and stand in line for that flying job as other rampies are already on the roster, if yellowknife is not available check hay river where you can drive the courrier van for a while but some rampies there also are waiting for the job on the DC-3. remember you are only as good as what you did the day before and goodwill will get you nowhere, so be prepared for difficult times! I know I worked there till recently

Cat that is the main difference , the man can be charming or generous or intriguing, if you hear about what he has done for the community,
but working for him is an entire different matter.
I will not even try to define his attitude, suffice to say it is perplexing, infuriating , and hopeless.

haha. I think that I have a pretty good idea who you are 302sc. Well put though. Back to the original question about Buffalo, right now it is the eternal wait. There are 5 rampies and 4 co-pilots, with no one moving anywhere because the flying is so slow.302sc wrote:I will not even try to define his attitude, suffice to say it is perplexing, infuriating , and hopeless.

Re: Buffalo Airways Info
No it's not JS or AJ. I thought you were someone who used to work for us, but I'm not so sure now. I still want my beer though! Yeah the poor C46. I guess there's not enough work right now so people keep running into airplanes.
Re: Buffalo Airways Info
I would be curious as to what happened to the truck driver.I know him too well !
now let me see who else would be running those R2800 at buffalo beside those I mentioned Humm!!
I have mitigating circumstance I did not meet every pilots ,as I only WORKED in the summer and my last working day was june 25th 2009)
you should know by now who I am!!
beer is on me when you tell me but you 've got to come on down and drink it here in calgary .
I also heard that flying is really slowing down in YZF. more scurrying for pilots looking for work.
