Anybody have experience working for Borek? How are things over there? Good? Bad? There's been that sticky job posting up in the wanted ads forever.. do they have trouble keeping people?

Haven't worked there myself, but know people who have. They say the company is alright but they wanted to get away from the travel so they could see the kids every day. So I guess they are having a difficult time finding young single people to do rotations here and there. ??
Cheers!

Also be aware that thing had become a little rough around borek. It's a good place for experience, but recently certain areas have gone to the dogs. You'll have to do rotations with either the twins or the basler during the antarctic season as its usually hard to find volunteers. and some rotations up north working on the med machines. when your in Calgary you do a lot of overhaul and prep for different contracts or issues that come up. Last I heard there no overtime unless your a contractor. Best choice is try contacting someone there and asking what they think.

Also I believe there is no base pay when you're home if doing a rotational job.
I know the pilots get a base pay when off but no one has confirmed that the maintenance staff does.
