Re: Looking for CATSA crew bypass link
I don't have a link, but as far as I know (and have done) as long as you have some sort of proof that you're deadheading for company purposes you can use the bypass. I think you can use your boarding pass if it says POS/DH (if you're AC/Jazz/GGN) or make sure you have your pairing sheet with the deadhead on it.

The regulation about that is only 46.2 in part 3 (aerodrom security) from the Canadian Aviation Security Regulations (SOR/2000-111):

Canadian Aviation Security Regulations (SOR/2000-111):

I have also received a Security Notice No. 120 from Transport Canada "Use of by-pass doors by deadheading crew members":
http://laws.justice.gc.ca/eng/SOR-2000- ... _3-gb:s_46
46.2 (1) A person to whom a restricted area identity card has been issued must not enter or remain in a restricted area unless
(a) they are acting in the course of their employment;
(b) the card is in their possession;
(c) the card is active; and
(d) they are in possession of a key that, if applicable, has been issued to them for the restricted area or a combination code or personal identification code that has been assigned to them for the restricted area.
(2) Paragraph (1)(d) does not apply to crew members.

I have also received a Security Notice No. 120 from Transport Canada "Use of by-pass doors by deadheading crew members":
"This notice is to clarify the use of by-pass doors by deadheading crew members.
Deadheading crew members may use the by-pass doors to access their flight when they are acting in the course of their employment persuant to section 46.2 of the Canadian Aviation Security Regulations i.e. when they are required to fly to a destination to act as a crew member on another flight.
Aerodrome Operators must ensure that deadheading crew members who use the by-pass doors have their restricted area identity card (RAIC) in their possession.
Note: Deadheading crew members may be wearing either company uniform or civilian attire."

in which case you would be detained for carrying an unconcealed weapon.

'I want to hurt him, not kill him'

Plane Jane the current TC Security Notice for crew member bypass is No. 130. Your airline should have a copy of it. Otherwise you could ask your POI. Or pm me your email address and I'll send it to you.
Does anyone have a link to the current Canadian Aviation Security Regulations? The one above just links to the consolidation doc.
