My wife's grandmother married a Canadian soldier in 1940. They went a few years before they were reunited in England and returning to Canada. What the hell happened to sacrifice and perseverance? If I can't go away for a few weeks to pay the bills and avoid exchanging DNA with a flight attendant and she can't deal with a little distance, then we both deserve a studio apartment filled with lean cuisine frozen entrees.

If I remember correctly D.L (the author) is a former C-0130 pilot in the RAF.
