I think what most operators do is if you have children on a ho, you simply pack as many people in as you can. That way when there's the inevitable crash they have a human cushion.

I am not sure what your question was exactly, but
If the company has room on the plane beside you, you can use a regular car seat (as long as it is airline approved) or depending on the size of your child you can go with this

It seems to be getting great reviews and you don't have to haul around that big seat.
