If you have a group 1 IFR rating which expires in june of 2010. You have 2 years to re-new it with a flight test before you have to re-take the IFR test again right???

Yup. I've had to re-write the INRAT
TWICE now.
It's no big deal

what is it, 24 months plus a day or something from date of initial expiry?
If your looking for a renewal and (and your current work can't/wont do it) I'd highly recommend looking at doing it in a sim, cheaper then renting a twin....

Decided to do mine early, to avoid possible rare delays at TC

Trying it in the sim, hope it goes well should be a lot cheaper

What requirements does the sim have to meet? Visuals and motion no?
Just curious what you paid for a sim to get a fresh IFR?
You could probably find a flight school alot closer than that type of sim...

Don't know what requirements the sim has to meet.
Have not done it yet.
The sim is not far

Can you guys recommend a sim for IFR renewals? I'm in the Toronto area and need to do some research. My Group 1 IFR expires this spring as well and I'm weighing my options right now.
