PC flight sims Floatplane add ons for fun gaming?
I was wondering what others were using these days on their PCs to do some fun gaming/flying? I want to find a good floatplane add on for MS flight sim or X plane or if there is a newer better sim out there I'm all ears.
Right now I've got MS 2004 a century of flight. I have one floatplane add on a Maule M5. I tried a couple years ago to upgrade to FS X but my machine couldn't handle it. I may be upgrading my desktop soon so I may be able to run FS X now.

just the flight sim X, it has a beaver and it should be more than enough to feed your sim float plane hunger

Go here, www.carenado.com
They made a 206 on floats, and also a 172 on floats, along with skies and wheels.

I did find this DHC-6 Twin otter sim
http://www.amazon.com/DHC-6-Twin-Otter- ... B0019GZ93W
Anyone familiar with it or know of a better one? I found a 400 series twin otter sim a few month back but it only came in a wheels version.
I do have a free download of a Beaver on floats for MS 2004 but I could never get it to install/work.

You might find it quite an eye-opener to poke around at www.mycockpit.org and see what people are doing in their basements and garages.

Hey Roadtrip...
I've also been and FS9 user for many years....my favorite site for free, downloadable a/c is http://www.simviation.net.
Just click the "Downloads" link off the main page and do a search for floatplanes. They have a wide selection, from a Fairey III D. MkII on floats to a Shorts Sunderland...
...or, you could browse everything under the FS2004 column.
Also, using the free site rather than the subscription site, you can only download two a/c simultaneously.
