ACP ATPL conversion to FAA
Has anyone written this exam lately? Does using Gleim prep course to prepare work? Any feedback would be good right about now.

Re: ACP ATPL conversion to FAA
I just wrote that exam last week and I also used the Gleim online course to prepare. The course is pretty good. The only problem is that you can only do two sections at a time and you have to finish them completely before you can move on. I like to spread the material out so that by the time I finish everything is still fresh in my head. But you can't do that with the course. Anyway when I finished the course I still had another few days before my appointment to write the actual exam. I just called up Gleim and they reset the course for me so that I could do it again.
As for the actual exam, it was pretty easy, there were no questions on detailed flight planning where you have to calculate enroute time, fuel required, or mach speed. Mostly it covered air regs and also reading approach plate minimums for pilots of various qualifications.
I also bought a copy of the ASA (it think it was ASA, the book was green) ATPL study guide. It is all the same questions but it includes a paper copy of all of the approach plates and maps which is much easier than flight planning using your computer screen.
Hope this helps.
