At mach 3 you just keep going strait, because in a matter of hours you will be back where you started.

I was partial to the fact that the SR-71 comes with a tool in the cockpit known as a "dinghy stabber" just in case the life raft inflates... I just love the fact that the fastest aircraft of all time comes with a tool specifically for killing a life raft... the pilots just couldn't just carry a knife?
